It is a warehouse for storing cars located near Cairo Airport established by Middle East Automobile & Tourism Club through which the owners of the cars, who hold the customs passbook and want to store their cars in a safe place in Egypt, can receive services with suitable rental value. The re-exportation of the car to its country again was involving a lot of hardships to the owners especially those who come frequently to Egypt in close periods which made the re-export of the car a burden on them.

It is an international document that has been legislated by the United Nations in accordance with international agreements on the regulation of road traffic. It allows its holder to drive outside his country of residence as it is issued on the basis of a local driver's license that qualifies its holder to drive. This license is not valid for driving in the issuing country.

Customs passbook is the international customs document that allows the temporary entry of cars, according to the terms of the United Nations treaties relating to the temporary entry of vehicles for the years 1954 and 1956. The customs passbook is also considered as a part of the Istanbul Convention of 1990 supervised by the World Customs Organization. In light of these international agreements, the customs passbook facilitates the temporary import of vehicles and aims to protect trade between countries, especially motor vehicle trade, so that they are not sold in the country the traveler enters.
